2012 Fall Trends – Continued

Fashion designers have been busy with colours this year, and we’ve pulled a couple more popular tones out of their fall lineups.

Teal has been making waves throughout designer lines this year. Combined with rich textures like velvet, crepe silk, and satin, it’s a fantastic colour for night time dress.  Try a teal blouse, paired with black slacks and a gold pendant . You’ll look and feel like a million bucks!

Add a bit of teal to your wardrobe with a bit of Apatite thrown into your designs. This stunning stone pairs very well with gold, and would look fantastic wire-wrapped between chunky gold links . Try making a set of earrings with some gold vermeille charms dangling below the stone.

The next colour we’ve noticed is very popular with designers this year is Primrose yellow. It’s a welcome change from last season, when all the models were decked out in acid-neon yellow! Primrose yellow looks fantastic as a print, paired with denim, or as a topper in a bold coloured ensemble.

Yellow Dyed Jade is your answer to this colour trend. With a range of shades from pale to bold, you can’t really go wrong. Try a large stone as a focal pendant, or a bunch of smaller stones on a bracelet. Yellow Dyed Jade pairs very well with silver, and looks great surrounded by silver charms and dangling chains .

Fashion designers are loving Venetian Red this year. This deep, rust-red scarlet pairs well with just about any basic wardrobe piece. Try a silky scarlet blouse paired with a black A skirt, or simply wear a stunning overcoat with your office-wear. Just about anything looks good in this shade!

You’ll find a perfect venetian red in our selection of Red Jasper . This stone pairs well with either gold or silver, and looks fantastic scattered around a chunky silver chain , or hanging from a set of simple earring hooks. Try setting the red ablaze by mixing with natural white pearls , or even dyed copper pearls .

If Venetian red is a little too hot for you, try cooling things down with another designer favorite, Cerulean Blue. This shade is youthful and fresh, and really can help to lift your mood.

Who doesn’t love turquoise ? This stone has been a favorite for years, and is always in high demand.  Turquoise looks exceptionally bright when paired with silver.  Try stringing some turquoise into a bracelet with sterling silver spacer beads , or dangle some nuggets off of your next bracelet .  Turquoise looks fantastic as a focal stone as well, trying hanging a nice big piece from a long sterling silver chain .

You’ll find that these bold colours really help to enhance your designs this fall. You don’t need much to incorporate these colour trends, and your clients will love to be able to accessorize to match this season’s trends.
